In order to control "comment spam" and continue to allow comments from readers, I changed the blog configuration to require registration in order to post comments. I was hoping to avoid this but it's the only way to stop the spammers (Viagara, Poker, Poker, Poker, acne prevention, etc.) from clogging the comments. Register with Type Pad, and you'll be all set. If you're concerned about information privacy, rest assured we won't use your email or other info or sell it to anyone, etc. In fact, I'm not even sure we have access to info you give Type Pad. In any case, I thought I'd clue everyone as to why registration is now required. If anything comes up, drop me line at wlalor@citizen-journal.net.
