At Citizen Journal, we believe everyone should get involved, and we are always happy to review for possible publication well-written and thoughtful articles of 600 to 1000 words. Your article should make a concise and clear argument regarding a topical or ongoing issue involving news or politics. Please submit all articles to editors@citizen-journal.net in MS Word format. We only accept submissions via email.
Citizen Journal doesn't have "staff" columnists - articles are reviewed and published on a rolling basis. We also don't impose a rigid editorial policy on our writers, though it's no secret we're generally looking for “conservative” viewpoints, as expressed here. We're also happy to consider opposing viewpoints, so feel free to submit anything that makes a coherent point about an important issue.
Because of the volume of submissions, in general we’ll only acknowledge those submissions that will be published. There is no need to confirm our receipt of an article. If we'll be publishing something you submitted, we will generally respond via email within a few business days.
Want to join the weblog? Good, becasue we're always looking for contributors. Email a writing sample, along with specific areas of interest to editors@citizen-journal.net. There are no minimum posting "requirements"; the CJ blog is ideal for anyone who wants a forum but could do without the pressure of posting 3-4 times per week.
