The irrelevant Senator Jim “Jumpy” Jeffords is retiring. After being baited to the Democratic side by Tom Daschle in 2001 with the hope Democrats would re-take the Senate in 2002 (and that President Bush would be a one-term president), Jeffords might finally have realized why no one returns his calls anymore.
