If Only the Democrats Were Led By Tony Blair

Over in Britain, New Labor has achieved many of old Labor's goals, in particular full employment. They achieved full employment, of course, by abandoning Labor's earlier commitment to socialism. Blair has embraced the market, while pursuing goals of social justice at home and abroad, through military and peaceful means. I disagree with him on a lot of things. But if I were a Briton, I'd probably vote for him.
Why can't the Democrats be like Tony Blair? Blair is a credit to Britain, while the Democrats are dead weight.
